DUMPSTERPILOT FIELD NOTES

Build a rental price you can explain

A useful rate card makes its included allowance and additional charges easy to understand.

Start with the cost of the full cycle

Estimate delivery, pickup, disposal, fuel, labor and wear. A price that covers the outbound trip but ignores the return cycle can look profitable while losing money.

Separate the rental allowance from overages

Write down the container size, accepted material, included rental days and included weight. Then specify the extra-day price, extra-ton price and any delivery or service-area fee. Check your own tax obligations and configure the applicable rate.

Keep the agreed rate attached to the job

A contractor may have different terms from a homeowner. DumpsterPilot stores a snapshot of the chosen rate card on the reservation, so future rate-card edits do not change an existing rental.

Review the result

Record the disposal ticket and cost, then review the completed rental’s contribution before overhead. Use the rental contribution calculator to explore example prices.
